SS7 and SIGTRAN Standards

The following table shows how just about everybody likes to get involved in standarising SS7. SIGTRAN seems a bit lonely in comparison with only the IETF involved (you know them, they are the one with free specs).

PNO-ISC = OFTEL (UK) Interworking Specifications
NUP/IUP = Network User Part (NUP) ISDN User Part (IUP) UK Standard. When used in UK interworking there are also 'Enveloped ISUP', UK ISUP and SCCP variants.
BICC = ITU Bearer Independent Call Control
ISUP SS = ETSI Extensions for Supplementary Services
TUP = Telephony User Part is essentially obsolete and replaced by ISUP.
MAP = ETSI GSM Mobile Application Part.
