General Features:

• Fast ISDN to Ethernet Multicast router.
• Compliant with all applicable Multicast features of RFC 1812 - Requirement for Routers.
• Support for unlimited number of local hosts on Ethernet segments or subnets.
• Configurable as a Remote Access Router or an Access Router. Router may be configured to support outgoing calls only, incoming calls only or both incoming and outgoing calls.
• Multi-homed support (up to 20 IP addresses), 3 statically configured, balance may be acquired via dynamic MPPP negotiation.
• Bandwidth support from 0K to 128K in single BRI mode, from 0K to 512K in HotPool mode.

Bandwidth Management Features

General

• Configuration of any combination of fixed or dynamic bandwidth on a per Physical route basis (0K to 512K).
• Multiple concurrent Physical routes supported.
• User configurable (per Physical route) idle timer (5 to 32,000 seconds).
• User configurable (per Physical route) Usage Window used to add or remove dynamic capacity (5 - 95%).
• User configurable number of Bumpable Links per Physical route (for voice calls, multiple connections etc.).
• All bandwidth properties may be configured on a Time of Day and/or Day of Week basis.

HotPools

• Multiple Routers (WarpOne or WarpTwo models) may be combined to form a single logical route from 0K to 512K of bandwidth.
• Multiple routers (The Pool) may be used to support Multiple Physical routes (up to 80) on a dynamic (traffic-demand) basis.
• HotPools may be configured to allow either or both ends to initiate additional bandwidth demands.
• Both ends of a connection may be configured to have different Physical route properties.
• Single Router configuration parameter controls the HotPool feature.

Time of Day Routing

• The Physical route properties (Maximum Links, Fixed Links, Bumpable Links, Idle Timer and Usage Window) may be configured on a Time of Day, a Day of the Week or a Type of Day basis (Week-day, Week-end).
• Each Physical route may have up to 3 Time of Day (ToD) slots.
• Maximum Links can be configured as 0 to enable complete shut-down of the Physical route.
• Incoming calls (if allowed) are accepted in a 0 Link mode to allow maintenance or other essential functions.
• Temporary extensions are allowed in 0 Link mode.

Routing Features

• Up to 20 static Logical and/or Physical routes may be defined.
• Multiple Logical routes may be combined on any Physical route.
• Route properties apply to Logical routes (e.g. NAT or Multicasting).
• Unlimited number of dynamic routes may be acquired (via RIP2).

LockBox (Firewall) Features:

• Unique hassle-free ON mode with no parameters defaults to Outgoing enabled and ICMP Ping ( you can talk to me, but only if I talk to you first) and enables remote diagnostic support. Supports 9 modes of operation:

QoS (Policy) Features:

NAT and SuperNAT (Thin Proxy):

• Standard Network Address Translation (NAT) for up to 16, user defined, internal to external host IP address mappings (TABLE mode).
• SuperNAT allows any internal (local) host to be excluded from routing services.
• SuperNAT Thin Proxy mode where a single (Static or Dynamic) IP address is used for unlimited internal (local) host translations (PROXY mode).
• SuperNAT allows Standard NAT (internal to external translation) plus a single, user defined, external IP address to be used as a Thin Proxy for all other hosts (SHARE mode).
• Port Maps may be defined (up to 16 single port or port ranges) to direct particular traffic to a defined internal host e.g. a Web or FTP server).
• Automatic support for remote NETBIOS (WINS) networks and remote DHCP servers.
• Proxy DNS Feature simplifies re-configuration.
